Sounds pretty intense, right.I just like the sound of it. Gloria and I(David) are just a couple of boomers(you know between 1946 and 1964) that have traveled a bit and now want to travel all the time. I have a small business that I am attempting to “remotely” operate from any country(will see).
So, since I have fallen in love with the internet in general, and travel blogs in particular, I convinced Gloria to set up this blog, tell our story, and see if we can give some sensible information to other boomers.
See, a lot of our friends, and people I see in our travels, seem to fall into two general categories. Those that fear the outside world beyond their local area(but do travel) and those that enjoy all aspects of travel. This of course is a huge simplification and generalization, but it makes my point, that a lot of boomers have a difficult time getting out of what I call “the tour bus, the tour group, the organized and systemically travel industry).
Hi, I am Gloria and I love to travel and shop. I love a good museum and to experience a new City or town. Now, I am also, particular about many things – restaurant cleanliness, hotel cleanliness, and generally germs in general. I am not a complete nut about it(don’t ask David about this), but it does impact how we travel. I like a good hotel or apartment, and some of the dives David has tried to get me to stay in, just do not cut it. But I love good food, good wine, and to enjoy the company of new people. Some say, I can talk to anyone. I just love people and love to talk to them.
